Thank you to Holly of empfire.info for the Seven Questions survey. I’ve been going thorugh a bit of a writer’s block, so this will be a great way to get back into the habit of writing. (At least I’m hoping it inspires me at least a bit.)

    1. When did you start blogging? I started blogging when I was probably around 10? I started webdesigning around that time. It’s been 11 years, so it’s a bit ridiculous. I’ve been on and off for a couple years. I’d say that this version of a blog was started two years ago, when I broke up with my boyfriend and I was stuck doing things.

    2. Why did you start blogging? Well, I’m not sure why I did when I was 10 years old. I know that Coeur En Flamme/Christa Lei Says… was started when I needed an outlet to write about my terrible dating/love life at the time. I was going through a really hard breakup, and I needed to deal with everything with that– so I ended up starting the blog for that. Other than that, this version of the blog was started to record my dating life in Chicago, and my adventures.

    3. What do you blog about? Well, in the last question, I mentioned things I write about. Namely, my love/dating life. I like to wax poetic about relationships and lessons that I’ve learned. Over the past couple of months, I’ve been writing about other things. I don’t really want my blog to put into a niche, but I like to write about my life. When I travel, I write about travel. When I date, I write about dating. When I talk about school, I’ll talk about school. It’s just a nice way to talk about my life and get everything out there.

    4. What is your favourite thing about blogging? My favourite thing about blogging is getting it all out! It’s very difficult to express my thoughts sometimes, and blogging is a way for it to get it all off my chest. I hold things in, and it’s nice to have a place where I can let it all out. Other than that, it’s also nice to interact and read people’s writing, get some feedback.

    5. What is your least favourite thing about blogging? Getting stuck! I always have ideas of what to write, and then get stuck. I have writer’s block 90% of the time.

    6. Where do you see your blog in 12 months time? I hope I’m still writing it. I don’t see it “anywhere” but here.

    7. What is your blogging dream? Travel blog! I want to travel more, I want to pick up and go. Or I want to have a following that I know I’m helping. Something to that extent.

Thanks for answering these questions and getting involved. :D It’s good to see that there are others wanting to be travel bloggers too. It’s such a huge dream of mine. Particularly if I could run one and make a living from it.

      • OH MY GOD I WISH!
I honestly wish I could make a living as a travel blog. Haha, I’d love it– I would be writing and doing things that I love. But hopefully we both get to that point eventually.

    • What a lovely post!
I’ve been blogging for yonks too- I feel so old when I start to count up the years since my first blog on ‘teen open diary’ {how embarrassing} but I’m so grateful for all the friendships and laughter and wisdom it has gifted me with,
I hope you get to fulfil your blogging dream! xx

      • Thank you! Haha. I actually used Teen Open Diary at the time too– isn’t it weird to think how much the internet has changed? How blogging platforms have evolved? I remember when I was using TOD, Matmice, then moved onto Geocities and Tripod, and then finally moved to being hosted and using Greymatter or b2. It’s weird for me.

And thanks! I know, getting back into blogging has been difficult for me to do haha– but I’ve been slowly getting back into making blogger friends.
